I designed this book and the one that follows as part of my BFA thesis project researching the story of Joan of Arc. In this first book I utilized a combination of hand printed wood type letterforms and digital typefaces. Some letterforms were used as illustrations to accompany images within the book.
In this second book, I created a play of the Joan of Arc story using wood type letters as "characters." The book was hand printed on a proofing press using a combination of wood and cast lead type.
